Hi All ,

Please let me know how to filter multiple grid columns using a single string edit control .

For EX :

If My grid is having Four Columns lets say ( Employee_Name,Employee_Salary,Employee_Status)  and one String Edit Control.

And When I enter data lets say Employee_Name into the StringEdit Field the entire grid  should get filtered respectively.

is it possible ?.

And I want to hide the Fields contents not the field itself.

    For EX :

if my table field  lets say an enum field named (AStatus) is having two values YES,NO .  Now I want to hide just YES based on some condition .  How could i do this by means of code

You can hide the fields of the table on Form_Init() or DataSource active method based on your conditions .. You have to set the Tab visible for the entire tab or field visible property based on your checks.

Why do you not just use the standard grid filter and enter the value in the appropriate filter field?

As long as you don't know which of the fields should be filtered after entering the value it's not easy to do this since you can't just filter all 4 of them. You would have to create another field (or a entire new tmp table) that contains the values of all the other fields combined in one string and then you can apply your filter on this new field with a like clause.
