Hi

Dynamics Ax 4.0 Inventory management--> Journal-->counting journal--> line.

If I select counting group is manual and on hand qty will be 0 then ax will pickup cost price as cost amount. in this case suppose item A on hand qty in warehouse X, but Y warehouse is 0 then it will pickup the cost price of warehouse X and calculate the cost amount.

also if i add one or more line in between the line then same thing.

Whats reason behind on that

If anybody have idea then please write me.

Thanks

Hemraj

    Hi Hemraj,

    i am guessing you are using ax 4 sp2..

    i dont believe that it picks up the 'cost price of Warehouse X and calculate the cost amount' for warehouse Y..

    rather it picks up the cost price setup on the item Master..[inventTableModule.Price(ModuleType = Stock/Invent)]

    Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

    regards,

    Mohammed Rasheed

    The cost price on the journal line itself will be set to the standard cost price found in your item table (e.g. InventTableModule where ModuleType = 0). However, if the quantity posted is negative it will ALWAYS be issued to the current average cost price. The average cost price is calculated for the inventory dimensions that you have activated for the given item (inventory dimensions that are part of your financial inventory). If Warehouse is NOT a part of your financial inventory then the cost price from warehouse X might hit an issuing transaction done from warehouse Y.

    If no average financial value exists when you post the journal line, then the standard cost price will be used.

    The cost prices are as usual settled and adjusted when you recalculate your inventory.
