Allow Quick Create - enabled after Dynamics CRM upgrade to 9.1

Posted on by 676

Hi Experts,

Before the upgrade, Allow Quick Create for all our activities are disabled. After the upgrade, four of the activities (Email, Task, Phone Call and Appointment) had their Allow Quick Create option enabled and grayed out.

Already tried exporting these 4 entities from our other environment that is still in 8.2 but this did not fixed the issue.

Is there any other way we can disable this option in Dynamics 365 9.1?

Other possible fix I am thinking of is to upgrade ribbon, open Main form instead of Quick Create form.

Please advise.

    1. You should start using Power App and not Legacy

    • Go to Power App and select table and press Properties

    2. If you still couldn't update the Leverage quick-create form and you do not have time to find the reason then other option is:

    • Exclude the Quick Create form of the email from your Model Driven App.

    Hope this help.

We're using on-premise 9.0 and ran into this issue as well. Our solution was to open dev tools, select the checkbox then remove the disabled attribute. This allowed us to save and publish the entity and disabled the quick view.

    Hi LMP,

I have tried in my environment(V 9.1 Online) and I could not disable the "quick create" function of activities like email, phone call etc..

But if you want the fields in quick create form more detail, you could go to solutions explorer, expand the entity that you want and select Forms.

Then select New->Quick Create Form so that you could edit the form through your need.

Here is the Microsoft Docs about how to edit or create a "quick create form".

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards

    Leo
