How to kill a Data Management export kicked off via Export Now

I have a project setup to export the General Journal Account Entry entity.  This export is kicked off via the Export Now function on demand.  I noticed in looking job history two are still running over a week past when they were initially kicked off.  This was probably due to the login session timing out before the export was completed.  How do I kill these?

    Hi Chris,

You can try to delete it from "Job history" and not via "Execution history".

There is not a standard function to abort DMF export job while if you delete the job from job history you will just delete it from UI. For example, if you have BYOD job, deleting of "Executing" job will not abort the job at the same time.

I do not know how to stop a Data Management export project.  It is a scheduled job that is not running currently when I try to do the delete.

Have you stopped the related service and tried? If not as Mohit suggested custom script should solve this issue.

Okay, I will have to check with the developer on this.

Another way would be to use Custom script or SQL script to delete from back-end.

That was my thought, but I was not 100% sure.

Thanks, but unfortunately when I try to delete the execution record, I get a message that the record cannot be deleted.

Hi Chris, How about deleting these executions from Data Management workspace. Even thought the status is executing, system can still delete the execution detail.

Because the session was terminated by closing the browser tab or timing out, I don't expect those with staging status Executing to still be actually running.
