D365 Certifications in Supply Chain and Finance

Hi everybody,

I just joined the community and hope everybody is doing great. I need to know that I want to do Supply chain and Finance certifications in D365 and I have financial certification in last version. Do I have to do fundamental certification in order to do said certifications (D365) even have done certification in previouse AX ?

For Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate, you need to take two exams.

Exam MB-330: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management

Exam MB-300: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Core Finance and Operations

the new role-based exams are as follows

MB -300: Microsoft Dynamics 365: Core Finance and Operations

MB -310: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance

MB -320: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply chain Management, Manufacturing

MB -330: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply chain Management

you can earn preferred (Associate )certifications using the following exam combinations

MB 300 + MB 310 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate

MB 300 + MB 320 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply chain Management, Manufacturing Functional Consultant Associate

MB 300 + MB 330 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply chain Management Functional Consultant Associate

It's good to start with MB-901: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals, if you were out of touch & need to refresh knowledge up to date. But it's not mandatory.

If you want to get the Finance and the Supply Chain Management certifications, you will have to do 3 exams:

MB-300 Core

MB-310 Finance

MB-330 Supply Chain Management

as the certifications, Finance and Supply Chain Management each require the Core and then of course the topic-specific exam as well.

You don't have to do them in any particular sequence. But it would make sense - also from a learning perspective - to start with MB-300 Core.

Please note that these exams were updated on October 16, 2020!

The Fundamentals (MB-901) is not required and is anyway replaced - for the D365FO parts - by a new MB-920 Fundamentals in Q1.2021
