Talent and PowerApps Licensing

According to the Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition Licensing Guide, all purchases of a standalone Dynamics 365 application subscription (including Talent) include a PowerApps for Dynamics 365 licence, which grants PowerApps access to data within the context of the licensed standalone application.

However, given Talent's data is stored within the CDS (which usually requires a Plan 1 licence to run and a Plan 2 licence to create/edit) it sounds like this licence may not have sufficient rights to access the data within Talent.

Are the team therefore able to provide clarity on whether:

A standalone subscription for Talent includes a PowerApps for Dynamics 365 licence
If so, does this licence have permission to access Talent data
If not, does this mean users must purchase a PowerApps Plan 1 licence in order to view embedded PowerApps (either out-of-the-box or custom)?

Hi Matt - I'm not part of the MS team but I do know that this was being discussed at the end of November. At that point - because CDS is considered a premium connector - users did need a PowerApps Plan 1 license to use embedded PowerApps. I know the Talent team were hoping to get that changed for obvious reasons but we haven't had an update since then. Hopefully there will be something soon.
