What does "Process Delivery Modes" job do?

I have found that some of the products could not be invoiced because they hadn't got the "Delivery Modes" set. I asked my friend and she said you have to run the "Process Delivery Modes" in Retail module.

The thing is I want to know what does this job do?

Regards

    Hi Mehrdad Kamelzadeh,

In AX you can associate mode of delivery with retail channel,  product category, product or variant, country and state. Some of this data is hierarchical, like retail channel, category or product that has individual released products and variants. This job will "explode" a tree to flat tables. For example, exploded items will have 1 record for each item and delivery mode combination.

Then you need to run 1120 job to push data to POS database.

    Hi

Delivery mode is mandatory when you create customer order from POS (Retail). Mode of delivery must be configured in ax with following details.

    1) Retail Channels

    2) Product (Hierarchy level or at Product level)

    3) Address (Country/Postal code etc)

When you run the "Process delivery mode" process, it will explode above configured data as explained by ievgen. These information will be sent to POS database and POS shows Mode of delivery during Ship or Pickup based on configuration.

Please can someone advise the associated Permissions (Role, Duty or Privilege) that allows this job to be run?
