We recently started using Dynamics and did a Bulk Import of our Contacts.
We are curious how we would have to proceed to add some of those Contacts to Leads without having to manually enter all the Contact Details again? Is this somehow possible?

You can try to create a workflow to create leads with information from contact automatically.
You can check 'As an on-demand process' to run the workflow after selecting contacts you need manually.
Or you can have the workflow run automatically when a new contact is created, and you can add one column to flag contacts need to be converted to leads when you import contacts.
Then you can add one 'check condition' to check the flag field value before 'create leads' steep in the workflow:
Populate the lead with information from the created contact.
