How can one create sales or purchase order from a retail channel?
How can we identify whether a sales order is created from a legal entity or from a retail channel?
Please, help!
Depending on How you set Dimensions Structure / Organization Hierarchies , you can identify from which Retail Channel it was originated and then you can also Identify Terminal and the worker too. Just refer Demo data (USRT Legal Entity) if you want to get more clarity. if you need Legal entity you need to add Legal entity dimension when you configure Account structures .
Refer below capture
Hope this will help.

Thank you for reply Ramune :)
Is it possible to create a sales order from a retail channel (Brick & mortar store) in D365 directly, i.e. without using POS?
yes, it is possible to create retail sales order directly from D365, but then you need to set up Call center (which is also retail channel).
