changing Quantity Types; Returned, and on-hand

Hi folks, GP2010

I have many item numbers with and without quantity that have been mistakenly put into a type 2 (returned). MANY. Can I simply write a SQL query update statement to change the QTYTYPE column value from 2 to 1. This occurred because no one understood  to change the drop down from type returned to type on hand. They now understand this, but I'm left with hundreds of parts sitting in limbo out in a type 2.

The GP GUI process to change these qty types is a nightmare, took me 4 hours to "transfer" 17 items using the gui method.

Even after "transferring" the stock to ON HAND, I'm left with all these part numbers (this is just a small subset) with type 2, but zero quantity

Sheldon, I responded to you in the other thread.  There is not a single Qty Type field in the Item Quantities table (IV00102) that stores a value.  There are multiple Qty fields - QTYRTND, QTYONHND, etc.
