Hi,

I want to create a query filter form option in my custom form, I have added a display menu item and written the code in clicked method. Is my approach correct? or is there any reference where I can create this sysquery filter form?
I need to create exactly as shown in the below SS.

could you explain or rephrase your question please?
Is your form backed by an AOT query ? Could you not add ranges on that query ?

    Hi R Shetty,

Can you elaborate on your question and how you have designed your form so far? Does the form have a data source? If so, what tables are used on the form?
Do you also have a form object linked to your display menu item? If so, are you trying to set ranges for the current form or the form that will be opened?

Note that each form with a data source has the option to open the Advanced filter or sort option (Menu tab Options). A shortcut to open this filter page is CTRL+SHIFT+F3.

    Hi Andre,
This is a dialog form and I need the advanced filter option on a dialog form. The datasource would be VendTable and VendTrans.

Although it is against the spirit of Dialog, which hides all such controls by default, and I can understand what you are trying to do.
A simple solution, I can suggest you is using command button and choosing command AdvancedFilterAndSort

Your alternatives are using a form pattern which is not dialog.
if you would try to enable the SystemDefinedAdvancedFilterButton (Via code), you will get runtime exception:

Here is how it would look like with command button. You do not need any extra code with the use of command button.

Sohaib is aboslutely correct. You can try to put breakpoint in SysQueryForm init method to see how it actually works.

    Hi @Sohaib Cheema,

Thank you, I was looking for a way to add advanced filter in a dialog form, the command button worked perfectly.
