How to reverse a closed work in warehouse management for a TO

Hi,

I think there is simple noway out of this scenario as we want to cancel the work and re pick the correct inventory 

  • A TO released to warehouse
  • Work completed with status closed
  • Shipment with status in packing 
  • and load with status 100 % work completed.

You cannot cancel the work as its closed. You also cannot reverse the work from wave and load as its a TO. I dont know why this is not supported for TO. Now reduce pick quantity does not work from load and shipment and says work cannot be reversed as inventory already moved.

Does anybody has any idea how to resolve this.

    Hi All,

    I found a solution for the above issue and the reason was that in AX 7 update 2 the work for a transfer order shipping cannot be reversed from any option from the front end. So sadly its a dead end in that update :(

    The two options available to reverse a closed work are to use "reverse work" option from the load if you want to reverse complete work all at once or to use "reduce picked quantity"from the load if you want to reverse only some lines in the work.

    Now moving to update 7 we have found that the "reverse work" option is still not working for transfer orders and it still gives the error "Work may only be reversed for sales transactions." while you try to reverse a work using this option for a transfer order.

    In update 7 now we can use "reduce picked quantity" to reverse the closed work for a transfer order shipping. Using this option you can reverse one line at a time and AX automatically creates reverse inventory movement work.
