We are using AX2012, 6.0.1108.2423 Cumulative update 4.

When i go to

/Product information management/Setup/Categories/Category hierarchies

and click on Procurement Category Hierachy,

I'm missing Item sales tax groups , like what mentioned in

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh227365.aspx

I have General, category attributes, Commodity codes etc but not the Item sales tax groups

Anyone can help? Appreciate it

    Hi Joe,

Per the link you provide, you have to be in the 'Procurement and sourcing' module to get the 'Procurement categories' form, not the 'Product information management' module.

    I dont have

Procurement and sourcing > Setup > Categories > Procurement categories.

In the License configuration, have you got Procurement I -> Purchase requisition -> Procurement categories ticked?

That screenshot is where you edit the Category hierarchy. The form where you see the Item sales tax group is a different one:

I don't know why you can't see the 'Procurement categories' form in the Procurement and Sourcing module. Has this menu been modified? Can you get at it through the AOT? You're looking for a Form called 'ProcCategoryHierarchyManagement'

    Open AOT

    and find following Display menu

    \Menu Items\Display\ProcCategoryHierarchyManagement

This form is having Item sales tax groups

Please verify and update us with your findings

I found it, but sorry how do i enable the item sales tax groups?

What do you mean, enable? You mean there are no item sales tax groups that you can pick? You don't really create item sales tax groups on their own. You setup sales tax, of which part is item sales tax groups.

You don't say why you were looking to add an item sales tax group to a category hierarchy. Why do you want to do this?

    Thanks for all the help!.

As you can see at my 2nd screenshot I do not have Item Sales Tax Group in my Procurement Category Hierarchy.  I need it to appear

Back to original question, is there possible the company that implemented for us disable or hide the Item Sales Tax Group?

If yes, how do i check and enable it  back ? :(

    Hi Joe,

There is a configuration key for Sales tax (you'll find it under General Ledger). If it wasn't enabled, I assume you also wouldn't see 'Sales tax' in the Setup area of the General Ledger module.
