How to use one-box local development vm's for unlimited time without rearm?

Hi team,

one-box development vhd comes with windows datacenter evaluation edition for 180 days. we can rearm it for next 180day's maximum 5 times. sometimes it's doesn't boot up after rebooting the vm when slmgr -rearm command is executed. How can we overcome this restriction. is there any license for unlimited use on the local one-box development vm? if so, then is it possible to activate the license on datacenter evaluation edition?

Hi,

The only legitimate option is to replace the key with the original, one thing you need to consider is why you need to use the same version dev box for such long because whenever a major update is released Ms issues a new version dev box.

How can I get the original key? is it an OS license key or a separate key for dynamics? I have a little confused about the data center evaluation edition if I get the key will I be able to update the key without re-imaging?

we have started the development from version 10.0.23 after that we manually updated 10.0.30 the one-box developers vm's. because we didn't get the updated vhd in LCS asset library.

actually, we have lost huge time to re-image the VM's now want to get the permanent solution for one-box vm's.

This is about the OS license (Windows). It has nothing to do with Dynamics.

Hi Ismail,

The original key you can get from Microsoft partners (from Both Local and Regional ). how ever data center licenses are very expensive as far as I know.

Please refer to www.microsoft.com/.../pricing to get an idea.
