Hi all,
Has anyone out there used the licence plate guided strategy in the location directives successfully and what was the context?

I can now answer my own question as I came across it in a retail type process where purchase orders are received in a cross docking scenario.
i) PO lines can be flagged as "cross dock" in the picking tab of the purchase order and a unique LP is created containing the "N" lines/items of the purchase order.
ii) All items are then received via one LP (LP receiving type work on the mobile device) to a cross dock location
iii) On the outbound process with pick & put, use the LP guided strategy. This determines where the license plates from the transfer order (or PO ?) are and picks the items from the relevant locations
iv) On the mobile options for the outbound process, check the handle by licences plate check box to allow the worker to scan the license plate and then move the whole license plate, instead of scanning each item individually
