I've set up a workflow to "Send Email" for it to automatically send auto response emails to Email Enquiries received into our Queues.
I've set up the workflow. When I select the option to "Create New Message" and complete the Properties with the email content and who it should be sent from and to, the workflow works as expected. However I need to refer the workflow to different Email Templates that I've created and when I select the option to "Use Templates" and select my Email template in the properties with the correct to and from properities, the workflow doesn't work. I get an Invalid Argument error, with no other detail.
The first screenshot shows the steps in the workflow. When I test this workflow its the first stage Send Email: Use Template) that doesn't work. The second stage of the workflow (Send Email: Create New Message) works and it sends an auto response email as expected. I've tested the exchange mailboxes I'm using and checked all of the email configuration in Dynamics and all is set up correctly. It seems to be an issue when using the Use Template option.
Can anyone advise of why this wouldn't work and/or what I need to check. We're using CRM Online 2016 update1
