Hi All,

I am trying to delete a temporary worker but I keep getting the error message" Worker cannot be deleted while dependent Resources exist. Delete dependent Resources and try again."

I am not sure where to look. I am not even getting the option to terminate

To delete worker , first you have to delete worker position assignment .To delete  worker position assignment ,  go to positions form  , filter by positionID and click on Change timeline button > manage changes. From position detail and worker position assignment tab delete records and then try deleting worker again.

    Hi Dynamicsuser365,

Resources can be found in the Project administration menu. Workers can be global; resources can be setup per legal entity. So, check all legal entities and delete related resources first.

Hi Andre, I did try to delete resource but I am getting an error.

I was able to delete the resource but now I am not able to delete the worker. I can see this error:

Worker cannot be deleted while dependent Employee fixed compensation exist. Delete dependent Employee fixed compensation and try again.

Can you click compensation > fixed plan on employee screen and see if anything exist over there ?

Is this a demo/test environment or do you face this issue in production? If it is in production, what is the reason to delete the worker?

This is in production. We need to delete because some of the workers were temporary workers and we want to get rid of the records.

always a good idea to disable them and keep the log for audit purpose

anyway if still delete needs to happen then all connections of the user and employee needs to be removed

e.g. positions, warehouse worker, (production) resource, (Project ) resource.......customer responsible.....payroll.....

    Hi Dynamicsuser365,

When the employment stops, the records will not be visible on the worker, contractor or employee list pages. The history is kept and can be found on the list page Past workers. I would not recommend an attempt to delete everything as the workers will be filtered already.
