Not easily without an add-on. The best thing I have figured, without an add-on, is to put the expiry date in one of the user configured fields in the item card. Then once a week, month, or whatever works for you, run a report on that user field so you can see what products are due to expire. It's very cumbersome, but works if you don't want to spend the money on an add-on.
