Releasing a Production order does not create Wave and Work automatically

Hi All,

I am trying to do a basic transaction by processing a production order through Advance warehouse management.
Have created a Production from a Sales order, and have estimated the Production Order and Clicked on Release button but no wave or work got created.

I have maintained the required setups like Default warehouse locations, Wave template, Work template, Location directive, Mobile Device menu items but still no luck.

BOM Lines -

Please let me know if I am missing anything because of which the production wave and Raw material Pick is not getting created.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Satish,

When you released the production order, did you get any messagages?  When you go to Outbound Waves > Production Waves, do you see a Wave for your production order?  If so, a good place to go for troubleshooting is the Work Creation History Log; filter the log on your item or production order and see what could have happened.

    There are other setups required:
    - For Route used on Production Order, the Resource or Resource Group should have an Input Location. Whe the production order is released, work will pull items to that location (although the default location on warehouse would fill any void)
    - You do not mention any Location Directives for Raw Material Picking, so if you have an error labelled "Allocation Failure" it is because using system could not find the reserved item in the warehouse using the instructions you gave the system (through the location directives).
    Regards,

    Danny

    Hi Danny Bilodeau,

    Thanks for your reply.

When I released the production order, no infolog/error message was displayed and there no records for my production order in the wave processing history or work creation history log.

Also, I am not using routes for my production order.

Have Managed to resolve the issue.

Actually I have not maintained the warehouse under BOM lines and it seems like because of that the system was unable to find the respective wave/work for the correct warehouse.

After updating the Warehouse under BOM lines and releasing the production order to warehouse, created wave and work successfully.
