Our customer would like to be able to set a default lead time on their vendors.
The delivery date on header and lines would then be PO-creation date + lead time.
As far as I'm concerned there's only two ways to register lead times. Either in the product form or in a trade agreement, but not on a vendor.
The lead time should just be a rough estimate and item specific lead times (trade agreements) would therefore be overkill, also from a administrative point of view.
Any ideas?

You are correct about these two options. If you want to have the lead time on the vendor, you would need a customization.
