Fixed Asset Disposal Journal not showing all books on the asset

When entering disposal journal, the drop down for the books appears to only be showing open books for the asset. Is there a reason for this and is there a way to have it show all of them?

The asset below actually has 3 books, all of which are open:

If I close one of them, it will not show:

This is by design. You can't create any transaction type for a Book in Closed status.

This is also the case in my trial environment, and it is standard behavior for the system.
