Hi ,

I am getting the following error when I  try to post a packing slip.

"Inventory dimension Batch number must be specified"

"Update has been canceled"

Inspite of givining  all the Dimensions (Batch Number/Revision, Site) it still throws the error.

Any inputs in this regard is greatly appreciated.

regards

Andrews

Try reserving the inventory (or using a pick list) to define the batch number.

are you using registration process ? if yes then you have to do this step first and put the batch over there. but if no then explain the step of your process.

are this for single po or all have the same issue?

    Hi, Sajjad,

i am not doing registration process. We produce the item inhouse and assign a batch number to the production order.  In salesline we assign the production number and batch number and then we post. This happens only for a particular salesline.

So - you need to look at the inventory transactions for the sales order line - and check that there's a batch number on all of the inventory transactions.

    Hi Guys,

The following option solved my problem.

The Item in the SalesOrder  was showing delivery remainder as 182 but we are making Packing Slip for 188 Nos.  Eventhough the overdelivery was set to 100% it still throwed the error (given in my initial mail).  I have reset the delivery remainder to the Packing Slip Qty and posted it without any issue.

Thanks for your suggestions and inputs.

    Regards

    Andrews
