PowerApps with Dataverse and D365fo

We would like to create an Canvas Apps which will create a Purchase receipt functionally of D365fo using PowerApps application.

Can you please suggest or share some video on how to create this app which will have the following functionality.

  1. Create a purchase receipt
  2. View the purchase receipt
  3. Cancel the purchase receipt
  4. Correct the purchase receipt. 

I would appreciate if you could guide me on this so that I can suggest to D365 and PowerApps developers how to go about this.

We have configured Dataverse to fetch data from D365 finance and operation.

    Yes entities are available in Dataverse.

    So using this data entities, we can directly enter data into these data entity and perform CURD (create, correct and cancel) operation.

    Yes default ProductReceiptHeader and ProductReceiptLine entities are available so we can directly enter data into these entities and create the required action on it? like receipt, cancel and correct action.

    Hi Santosh,

    First you have to identify whether these entities are available in dataverse otherwise you need to use Odata or API in Power Apps + Power automate to make this happen.

    Hi Santosh,

    I haven't got this requirement myself before. There are some entities available to manage receipts: ProductReceiptHeader and ProductReceiptLine. Not sure if these can be used for your purpose. Note that for posting, there should be actions available on the entities.

    If the standard available entities are not the correct ones for your requirements, they need to be developed in Dynamics 365 F&O first.
