some time Management Reporter not showing newly Posted Entries

Hi There,

We are using Management Reporter 2012 Version 2.1.10001.112 with Dynamics GP 2013 12.00.1538 (SP2) . Some time when we post transactions in GP then after 20 or 30 minutes when we see report on Management Reporter then it will not reflect the Posted entries in Report, But After Restarting Management Reporter Services it will reflect those entries. is there any other solution to without restarting Management Reporter services Entries will reflect in Management Reporter 2012.

    From what I have seen and tried on a few different solutions we have implemented - Harry's suggestion to make the Auto Recovery is key -

    We have found most of the time that missing data is jammed up between the time the Service Fails and when it restarts - if at all.

    Unless you rebuild the data mart we have had a hard time to recover without following Harry's comments.

    Better you can use legacy adapter. It will fetch your data from GL to MR quickly (It's my opinion). Because, we had the same problem for many clients who are all using Data Mart adapter. But, we didn't face any issues after changed our adapter settings to legacy.

    Also check and update MR latest Cumulative updates if you are not updated.

    I have shepherded numerous Management Reporter installations over the last few years, and can boil this down to one change you need to implement. It is critical to go to Services on the server running Management Reporter and set these services to auto-recover. Additionally, while MR documentation, and several Blog spots provide detailed installation instructions, I produced a checklist of prerequisites, which must be adhered to prior to and during the installation process. If they are not adhered to, installations prove more difficult and reliability is deleteriously impacted.

    Muhammad,  Did you ever get a response to this question?   We have the same problem but our balances do not update when we restart Management Reporter.  

    This is quite difficult to produce reliable financials in a hurry and not checking each balance to the trial balance in GP.  Thank you for your help if you have any input.

    If it is a data mart installation, I would definitely consider checking the services regarding the "auto-recover" in case of failure.

    What is the type of installation ? Is it a legacy or data mart ?
