Can I take an opportunity back to the Lead stage?

Posted on by 15
We had some opportunities that were preemptively moved to the opportunity stage, but they are not ready for an opp, therefore artificially inflating pipeline. Anyone have a good process for moving these back to Lead stage? I thought about reactivating the lead, then making sure to move any notes from the opp back to the lead, and check to ensure any /regarding/ activities are moved to be /regarding/ the lead. And then delete the opportunity.

But if anyone has a better process please let me know.

    Hi Partner,
1.You can click 'set active' button to back to lead page and click 'Reactivave lead' button to change lead status:
2.Before deleting the opportunity, you can use workflow/flow to update 'Regarding' value of these related activities and notes.
Dynamics-365-Workflow-Tools provide one action--Update Child Records.
