cashier passwords = cashier numbers change ?

Before latest updated i could poll the cashiers and if the password = number (example 333 password 333) then i could modify password (randomy and email the cashier the password) on a cronjob....

now they are encrypted and i dont know if it's same as number... meaning how can i encrpyt the cashier number(username) to compare to password hash to see if they the same ?

    Fcases,

So your people cannot enter the same password at each store they work at?

Why does the password _really_ need to be the same at each store?  Can they not remember what password they stupidly entered at a differnent store?

If that's the case, set up Security for each Store Manager to be able to delete cashier passwords at the store level and hopefully the cashier will use the same password as they did at the other store(s) OR fire them because they are inept! ;-)

well i did, but for passwords to be REPLICATED to all store ops.. .i need to manage those myself... else they have multiple user/passwords for each store they can work at and its hell to manage...

    Fcases,

Hmm, website acting funny tonight, so this may be a double posting.

Why not use the built-in password policy in SO Admin?  SO Admin | File | Connect | Database | Password Policy settings

Read through the Help on that page for more info. After you set it up, s/he can create their own passwords subject to your rule settings.
