Retail discounts - spend $x get free item

Hello,

my client has a requirement where if a customer spends x amount at the POS, then they get a specific SKU as a free gift with that transaction. Using the mix and match discounts functionality I can see that it is possible to offer 100% discount on an item based on the purchase quantity of other items, but I can't see a way to offer this gift based on the purchase value instead. Can anyone offer suggestions?

Sadly this only allows free gift to be applied based on quantity of items bought, not value.

Unfortunately this doesn't provide the ability to enable a specific item to have 100% discount when a certain value of spend is reached on a different subset of items.

Hi, what about standard 'Threshold discounts' - did you find any reason why they are not suitable for Customer?
