Hi,

Is it possible to create an alert that will pop up every time someone creates a sales order for a specific customer displaying a certain message/ or a kind of reminder?

I tried creating an alert with below rules, but it does not seem to work.

Any ideas?

    Hi,

What doesn't work with your alert?

Don't you get a notification or email?

Does only this one not work or all alerts?

    Have all setups been made?

    Best regards

    Ludwig

    Hi Dr Ludwig,

After I created the alert, I tried to create the sales order using the customer account I set up on the filter option. But i did not get the pop-ups showing the "test" message I put in. I just want a pop-up message and not email. This is the only one so far that I have created and tested. Would there be any other set up I need to do?

    Hi,

Can you please verify that a batch job is scheduled and running for alerts. If not then schedule a batch job for change based alert.

Follow below steps for scheduling the same :

Go to System Administration > Periodic > Alerts > Change based alerts.

schedule a recurrence in batch job and run it.

I believe it will resolve your issue.

    Hi Gaurav,

This is ok now, it just took a bit of time to work after the batch job but I can see the alerts now. Thanks!

    C Wee,

There are 2 main settings: One is the batch job and the other one is user settings.

Batch job will run according to recurrence settings you specify when setting it up. That gathers notification records.

Then application checks your user settings to see how often you let application to notify you.

    That means,

You can set your batch job to run every 10 mins, it will gather notifications for all users. Then deliver notifications according to user settings so you can set your user settings to be notified every hour.
