send an email to contacts when new Account is created

Hi all,

I would like to send an email to all the contacts that belong to particulat account  and the owner of the account when a new account is created every time.Any help in sending the email to the related contacts of an account and owner is appreciated.

    Hi Sam,

    Since one account can have multiple contacts; if you create one single workflow to send email to both owner and contact. Your account owner might receive multiple emails for the same account.

    That's why I have recommended to create two separate notification workflows:

    On creation of account, send email to owner

    On creation of contact, send email to contact's email id

    My account and contacts are getting created from a workflow. So, In this scenario can I not create a single workflow which will send an email to the account owner and all the related contacts it is having.

    Please suggest.

    Hi Sam,

    You must create two different workflow s for this:

    Workflow 1: On creation of Account, send email to owner

    Workflow 2: On creation of contact and change of field-company name, having 'company name'= contains data, send email to contact

    Why workflow 2 is running on contacts and not accounts, is because you can create an account just with a field called account name. And you might not enter any contact also. So its better to send email while you are adding those contacts.
