Change Items to Lot Tracking after transactions

Hi All

I couldn't find any way to enable item tracking for existing items even after all ILE are closed and zero stock on hand. Is the only option creating new item codes? Seems not a good design when you have 10000 items. I think there should be a complete rethink on product design on changing costing and lot tracking

I agree with you 100%.

We ran to lots of trouble because of this. We are FDA controlled and cannot change the part number or lose part history or divide the same part history between old and new item.

The only way is the method you mentioned.

Of course you can make a development to change enable tracking for existing item. it is tricky but it is possible.
