cash drawer won't open

Keep getting an unknown printer error and my cash drawer will not open. Any suggestions?

    Are you using a windows printer or an OPOS printer.  sounds like an opos printer to me.  If opos open the configuration/test tool provided with the driver and test pop the drawer.  If it pops then repair install RMS through the control panel -> Programs and Features / Add Remove Programs.  

    If it doesnt pop then your problem lies with the driver.  Update your opos driver or uninstall and reinstall.
