We are using Microsoft AX 2009 SP1 RU7. I am trying to configure the system to allow me to have several batch numbers for the same production order.
I tried to play on the item configuration by going to the General tab --> Group --> Batch number group. In the Batch number group --> General tab I tried to check or uncheck under Allocation the parameter "Only for inventory transactions". I also tried to check or uncheck the parameter "On physical update".
None of this worked, the batch number is either not generated when I am reporting as finished a partial quantity on the production order, or in the second case the batch number is generated but it is the same batch number for each partial quantity reported as finished.
Any idea what other configuration should be used to allow several batch numbers for the same production order?
