Report Writer: Printout with 2 decimal points, if is zeros show blank

Could you please advise on how to show a currency field content in 2 decimal points and if it is 0.00000 then show empty (completely blank).

I have added a calculated field and it can be printout as empty/blank, when it is zero 0.00000 but the problem is that it will show all 5 decimal points. http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/7913/20100629215330q.png

But I want it in 2 decimal points.

I have tried to use the RW_Truncate ( fieldname  0  3) but without success.

    Hmm... I have missed a setting, I have used another 'currency' format field and set it to 'Hide When Empty'. Then I can get the result. Anyway, many thanks to the reply from community, Béat Bucher.

    Yes, the field format options is the way for us to define different presentation of a field. However, as for the "Currency" format type, there is no setting for printout as blank but not just zero.

    Thus, i define a calculated field (Type=String) conditional when it is zero, it will show a blank.

    But this calculated will resulting the 5 decimal points if it is not zero.

    Hi William,

    The format that shows up on the paper in the reports are not driven by the field from the tables or a calculated field in the report. You should rather take a look at the field format option in the report itself and then select one of the various numeric formats. They drive the "layout" appearence of the data once they are printed.

    Try out one of the various formats and take the ones that suits the most. Unfortunatly you don't name the report you're trying to modify, so I couldn't really test it :-)
