Tax calculation on invoiceproduct with discount on invoice calculates wrong (same with opportunity, quote and order)

Hello,

when adding tax to a invoiceproduct CRM calculates the extended amount automatically. If the tax calculations is performed with a plugin or manually doesn't matter at this point.

On the invoice CRM also calculates the sum of all lineitems of the invoice for amount, tax and extended amount. this is also working correctly.

When you now apply a discount on the invoice CRM dos not reduce the tax in relation to the reduced totalamount.

Is there any solution for this?

Okey please try to calculate tax over business rule. Invoice get the total tax from invoiceproduct, so it can't know where to get value.

did you use already business rule?

    Hello,

please read see my first post:

"when adding tax to a invoiceproduct CRM calculates the extended amount automatically. If the tax calculations is performed with a plugin or manually doesn't matter at this point."

the caculation on invoice product is not my problem. The problem comes with the automatic calculation on invoice. CRM is just adding all TAX field values on all invoiceproducts of a certain invoice.

the problem is when you add a discount on invoice, this discount is not taken into account for the total tax on invoice.

I'll give a short example: (for simplicity the TAX is 10%)

    Lineitems:

name Priceperunit quantity amount tax totalamount
    lineitem 1 100 1 100 10 110
    lineitem 2 100 1 100 10 110
    lineitem 3 100 1 100 10 110
    lineitem 4 100 1 100 10 110
    lineitem 5 100 1 100 10 110

    Invoice
    detailamount 500
    totaltax 50
    total amount

    550

if i now give a discount on the invoice of 50 the calculation would be:

    Invoice
    detailamount 500
    discount 50
    totaltax 50
    total amount 500

but this calculation is wrong, because the totaltax is not 50 it must be 45 and the totalamount must be 495

Fabian, you did not understand what i means. Because of automatic calculating when you make a discount on invoice, invoice will calculate diycount amount but not tax. That's why you must take something. For example a plugin or business rule. Now, it is time to go house. Tomorrow i give you some example. (where i live already 18:30 :)

I live in the same timezone...

you don't understand tax on invoiceproduct is calculated as you can see in my example (manually or by plugin)!!

I am talking abount the sum of all taxes on invoice

Sory i think my English is not enough to explain about it. I understand very well what you means. But you don't understand me. If your Total Tax field get automaticly sum of tax from invoice product and this field is readonly you can't change even with javascript i think here is to find some solution not for discussion. So you did nto answer about my questions "Did you try business rule for this field?"

    best regards

please open a Dynamics CRM of you choice. open an invoice. The totaltax field on invoice is calculated by CRM. it sums all entered values (manually or by plugin) of ist child invoiceproducts. it is not possible to intervene here.
