Hi,
Within the Address entity there is a hidden field called Parent ID. What exactly is stored in there e.g. Parent Account Number / GUID / etc.

In the parent id, the ID of the parent record is stored. this can be either an account or a contact person.
In the fetchxml below, you can see how the parent id is used. In this case you can say that the address is an account address

The parentId field store the Id of the parent entity (Account, Contact or Lead)
There is also the ObjectTypeCode field which determines the type of the parent entity.
