Multi-Company Database Separation

We have a site on Dynamics SL 2018.  They use Multi-Company and have 4 companies in a Single database.  Two companies were sold off earlier this year and the remaining two are being transferred to new ownership.  That said, is it possible to purge history for individual companies within a multi-company configuration.  We'd like to purge history for the two companies that were sold, while retaining history for the other two.

Please advise.  Look forward to a reply.  Thank you.

I've been playing with the test company and figured the same.  Just going to take a fair amount of testing.

    Appreciate the feedback.

I did this recently for a very similar situation.  Wound up writing a long series of SQL scripts that deleted records from any table that had a reference to the CpnyIDs that needed to be purged, along with some other records with indirect relationships to those companies.  Took multiple rounds of testing, but in the end was very successful.
