Transportation module

Hi guys

I want to know if can we use the transportation module in Dy 365 F&O for 3rd party carrier companies like DHL, Kuehne + Nagel or FedEx.

Please let me know what is the solution for this type of company?

Can we use consign process and owner dimension to mange it ?

    Hi Oshanak,

    Yes, you can use transportation management module for 3rd party carrier, but you may need some customization or integration.

    For consignment you can follow the below mention guide line.

    Hi Oshanak,

    What it is exactly what you want to do with the 3rd party carriers? Is it about using their services as input for e.g. the rating calculations? Is the consignment question related to the 3rd party carriers or a different question? If it is a different question, then Muhammad shared a link. The consignment features with the owner dimension is supported on the purchasing side; not on the sales side.

    This company is a parcel and courier company. The company's income will be from shipping services (Air, road, rail, and sea). For this purpose, they can use their own carrier or rent them.

    As for storage, they can buy it in different places or rent it. However, they don't have any goods and these warehouses are used for parcels storing.

    Hi Oshanak,

    The main purpose of the transportation module would be calculating transportation costs and transit times (rating and routing) related to purchase orders and sales orders. It is not a fleet management or transport planning application.
