Is it safe to assume that the value shown in "Inventory aging" versus "Inventory by inventory dimension aging report"
should always be the same? I'm in a situation in which both reports does not show same value.

The reports should show the same value in my opinion.
Can you reconcile both with the values that you see in the General Ledger and thereby find out which one shows you 'wrong' data?

thank you for confirming my understanding on both reports.
Actually it looks like the wrong information is from the report it self - I compared GL posting with the report and found out that the amounts in Inventory by Inventory dimension aging report is overstated.
Would you advise if there are areas that might help to look at?

Have you already checked LCS for available hotfixes in regards to those reports?
