Order - Quantity to deliver

Hi,

I would like to know if the below scenario is possible in Dynamics GP.

I have an order and for example I have an item with quantity of 20 and would like to first deliver a quantity of 10 and the week after I deliver the remaining 10.

Is this possible in Dynamics GP please and how does it work?

Thanks and regards,

I just tested this in GP 2013.  If you use the 2 line method, you have to check the option in setup for SOP Order Documents to allow invoicing of unfulfilled or partial fulfilled orders.  Once you allow that, it will invoice all lines regardless if you just fulfilled one line.

If you use the 1 line method of 20 on order but fulfill just 10, it will invoice only 10 but this doesn't work for kit items.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, I have tried this suggested but I have 1 concern I am creating 2 separate lines and one of the lines I input a different requested shipping date but when I print or post the invoice all the lines are posted. With this being said I cannot find order/invoice with that remaining quantity that I still need to deliver.

    Appreciate your feedback.

    Thanks and regards,

    There are 2 options:

    1. Create 2 SOP Order Lines, this way different Requested Ship Dates can be assigned at the Line.

    2. Create one Line for the Qty 20, if the dates aren't important, or update the Requested Ship Date after transferring the 10 to an Invoice.

When you transfer to Invoice the remaining quantities will be remain open until transferred to the next Invoice.
