Hello,

I tried to make a real time journey for leads. I cannot publish it because i receive an error "This message uses audience type that doesn't match the type required by this journey." next to the email I've chosen.

I looked into the emails I've created but couldn't find any settings related to audience. How can i solve this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Jandys ,

I see that you want to send the mail to Leads.

    Please check the following :

    1. What type of Email is it ? Transactional or Commercial ?

    - If commercial then it will have an Unsubscribe link which is connected to the Contact entity.

    2. Are you using segments or triggers for the journey?

    - If it is segments it should be based on contacts only.

    - If it is a Trigger you Lead should have an Primary contact related to it - see image below.

Thank you for your response Roy!

So i cannot send commercial emsils to leads?

I am using a "Marketing Form submitted" trigger. It's one of the deafult ones. Should I modify it somehow?

I wonder the same thing as Jandys - is it not possible to send commercial bulk marketing emails to the Lead entity? I cannot get around the error message if targeting Leads.

Hi Jandys, i had the same error today. It was because my e-mail had a dynamic variable (firstname, lead) and the trigger of the journey was targetting the contact table. I fixed it by changing my variable in the e-mail to firstname, contact. Are you sure you have the email and trigger of the journey connected to the same table?
