Hi SL Community,
I'm new to the bank reconciliation process so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a couple of deposits that have been entered into the Cash Manager - Cash Transaction screen that are not pulling into the Bank Reconciliation. I notice that the batches have a reconciliation mode "by detail" instead of "batch". How do I get these batches to pull into the recon?
Thank you in advance!

Always remember that the Cash Manager balance is driven by the transaction date NOT the period to post. It is important that any "Cash" transactions use the correct transaction date or they will not show on the reconciliation.
You can set up your own entry types that are deposits and then use them to update both Cash Manager and GL.
There is a default type of PA for receiving deposits which updates GL. If you have the Entry type set to do so, it can also update AR. There will be an AR Payment Application batch created from PA entry types.
When using the PA type, you can enter a payment without a customer ID. When this batch is brought up In AR Payment application, you can then assign the payment to a customer.
As for your current issue, check the date on the detail line. Is that date prior to the Bank Rec date?
Also note on that line to the far right if it says outstanding, cleared or is blank.
We do have a bug where you could have no transactions on the batch with a value in the catran.rcnclstatus field. In that case, it wouldn't show up at all to be reconciled.
Nadina. I use Cash Manager every month and balance to the penny, but it has taken a while to get to that point. In answer to your question and I may not be exactly correct, but the Cash Transaction and Cash Transfer screens in Cash Manager are for making adjusting entries, not for recording deposits. All of our deposits get into Cash Manger from the Input Screens in A/R and on occasion, from a Journal Entry that uses our Cash Account. Keep in mind that Cash Manager is basically just a snap shot of all the entries for a given period, to your Cash Account(s) in the GL. In other words, if something is Debited or Credited to the Cash Account in GL, it should show up in Cash Manager. The "mirrored entries" then give you a way to check your GL entries against your bank statement. Another important concept is that the GL uses the Period to Post. Cash Manager uses transaction dates, so it is important in almost all entries, to make sure they are the same month. Her are some Do's and Don'ts for Cash Manager. Good Luck. support.microsoft.com/.../848245
