Upgrading and renaming the domain controllers

Dear CRM community

We have a Dynamics CRM 2013 On Premise environment and we are considering to upgrade our domain controllers to 2012R2, and in the process also change the names of the domain controller server machines.

My question is if there is anything we need to change in our CRM application or any other configuration, or will our CRM application just continue to work after the domain controllers are renamed (their IP's will remain the same)?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Javid

    Hi Javid,

Similar question has been asked in the following link.

In essence you might have to setup a new dynamics environment / servers (in your new domain). Move you database to SQL Server running in your new domain, import the database in a new server and map the users which import process will ask you to do.

Hi Kashif, and thank you for your answer.

It's only the names of the Domain Controllers computers that we are going to change. Neither the domain name, nor the IP addresses of the Domain Controllers will change. No changes are going to take place on the CRM server or SQL server.

Do we still need to setup a new dynamics environment?
