Items with discounts based on how many are bought

Hello,

I would like to define ONE item which price will vary based on how many are bought, this is the scenario, item = license fees:

  • First 50 licenses = £18 per license
  • Next 100 licenses = £14 per license
  • Next 150 licenses = £10 per license
so if they want to buy 123 license, they will pay 50 licenses at £18 + 50 licenses at £14 + 23 licenses at £10

I've checked discounts and they work with minimum quantity and discount %, but not sure I can create an Item that will work as above in BC? Will I need multiple items?

Thanks

Alejandra

Using Sales Price Lists you can get close, but not exact.  The way it works in Sales Price Lists, is the Unit Price applies to all units, not just the group.  If you set the Minimum Quantity to 100 and the Unit Price to 14, all 100 units will be at 14.  You would have to calculate the % Discount and apply that to the line.  This won't give you a rate per group of 50, but will make the total amount close to what you're looking for.

Perhaps there is an AppSource extension that will get you closer to what you're looking for.  You could also customize the system to allow for pricing by quantity groups.

    Hi Alejandra,

You have volume pricing based on the start and end quantity in the Sales Price table. However, as Ben suggested, you should check AppSource to explore apps that can enhance the pricing table with more options.

    Thanks

It is true that there is no such phased pricing function in BC, you can consider customizing it.
Or submit this idea to Microsoft.
