Microsoft Dynamics SL Adding column to grid view

I am new to Microsoft dynamics SL  so this is hopefully a simple question.

I am trying to add a column to a grid view of a form.

I go to Customization Mode, Property window for the item I want to add, and then change Visible to True

But it does not show up in grid view for that form.

Also, I set an exiting column's visible to False and now it is no longer showing in grid view even after I changed visible back to True.

What am I missing?

    What you are describing should work just fine.  I wonder if your issue is related to the customization level where you are making the change.  If you have not set the level to all users and make a change to the visible property, then that change only applies to your user id (the default level is "self" and other users will not see that change.

    If you have set the customization level appropriately and still have the issue, please provide some more details on the issue like the version of Dynamics SL you are using, the screen id you are doing this to and the column (field name) you are changing.

    Thank you for the quick response.

    Customization level was set to All users.

    I have now fixed it.

    I had to:

    1. Go to Customization Mode

    2. Select the object

    3. Remove Changes from Object

    4. Set Visible to false and then back to true

    And now everything is showing correctly

    Not sure what was going on with it
