Yes almost all POS systems track sales for different Cashiers, Salespeople, etc.; they just don't have separate X/Z-Outs for different drawers on the same register.

You can assign Cashiers to the Drawers, but don't think it does anything besides opening the correct drawer, since the option to enter separate Opening and Closing amounts doesn't come up.

We could look at the RR Floating Cashier mod, I think it does this.

BTW, this needs to have the correct drawer/cable setup, like USB or Smart Serial drawers (as opposed to Printer-Driven which I'm not sure RMS will work with for a 2-drawer setup - that does work with some systems with a/b outputs on the printer).

It was my understanding that in Store Operations Manager/ File/Configurations/Options/POS Options/Force Login Each Sale  (checked) allows a method to track sales for multiple cashiers on the same till. It might also be considered a hindrance let's say with regard to the other matter? I'll remain optimistic that it may. Hopefully that setting may serve your needs BillyH.

Yeah it would be great if you could have full assignment and reconciliation of each drawer, but I have not seen that in any POS system I have worked with - I guess there may be. The main thing is to have each cashier responsible for their own cash, and just count out the float. Especially for transient staff working with lots of cash, where they might be more interested in stealing than keeping their job. With one drawer and multiple cashiers you cannot tell who has taken the money, unless you have video or other evidence.

The z out process for RMS combines both cash drawers into one report.   Also you have to set the cash drawer number in the cashier record within SO Manager.  It does not prompt them when the sign in the first time.  Also without a custom script or custom button you cant manually assign a cash drawer number from the POS front end.

So you basically cant do what you want, which is allow 2 cashiers to use the register in the same shift but keep the money separated and report on it separately.
