So I'm assuming that you have already posted acquisition for your new assets and you only want to run depreciation. Correct?
There are 02 ways to run depreciation.
1. Create depreciation journal manually
2. Use depreciation proposal
An easiest approach is to go for option # 02 so that system can create depreciation journal for you automatically.
Please follow the steps mentioned in the below link:

if you don't mind can you tell me how i know the opening balance dates means i want to see when the opening balance came into the AX this year.
