Word Templates to report on 1:n data entities but across > 1 table row per related entity

ReportReport

Is it possible to create a Dynamics Word report template which includes data attributes from a primary entity plus many occurrences of a related entity that expands across more than one row per related entity?

I can create a report template which shows multiple attributes from the primary entity, but it appears to be limited to 1 table row per related entity on the many side of the relationship.

Even formatting the report as landscape, that still restricts the available space to one row of a table.

Is there a way to split data from the many entity across multiple table rows?
Or possibly have a page/table per related entity so that the report can show lots of attributes from both the primary and related entities?

    1. Nested Tables:
    • Insert a table for the primary entity.
    • In a cell where related entity data should appear, embed another table with multiple rows to display all attributes of the related entity.
    • Use ‘<<ParentEntity.RelatedEntity[*].Attribute>>‘ placeholders within the nested table.

    2. Multiple Sections (Page per Related Entity):
    • Duplicate a section for each related entity record.
    • Use a ‘<<ForEach:ParentEntity.RelatedEntity[*]>>‘ loop to repeat the section for each occurrence.
    • Format each section to start on a new page if needed.

Thanks for the prompt response :).
Not yet got it to work, but I think the first option relates to 'nested repeaters'.
I will keep trying, the theory sounds good!

I've not yet managed to get this to work.
I suspect it's the layout of the nested table that's not quite right.
Not yet found an example to guide me, but will keep trying.

Sorry for the delay, finally found time to experiment and managed to get this to work.

Thank you for the pointer :)
