The strange part is, it is happening only to random users (others are working fine) and all of them are accessing the same GP installed in the server. I'm not sure whether any connection pool is set or not.

Much appreciated if you can throw some light on this.

Thanks!

Tom

What is customization? May be there is something related to user permissions.

    Hello Tom,

I think Almas is on the right track since this issue only occurs to some users and not all, while all users access the same GP installation on the server, it sounds more like permissions than anything.

A couple of things you can test:

    1. For one of the users getting this error when closing a modified form with VBA, have them try launching Dynamics GP by right-clicking on the Dynamics.exe file and choosing 'Run As Administrator', then selecting the Dynamics.set file to launch the application, logging in normally to see if the error still shows.

    2. Another test, to rule out permissions, give one of the users getting this error Administrator permissions on the server that Dynamics GP is installed onto, then have them logon to the server and try launching Dynamics GP both regularly and also using the 'Run As Administrator' option again. Does the error still remain?

Other than that, you could look for any type of Event Viewer errors or warnings that correspond with this error message, as I don't believe dexsql.log would show us anything or any logging available to us via GP or SQL.

Try the above and see what we find...……

    Thanks
