I am seeking information about Picking list and Route card Journals use in Production Order.

Picking List journal is used for posting of material consumption against ur production order. Route card is used for posting work center times against ut production order if ur order is operation scheduled. Picking list can be set to post automatically as well. And material can be made to consumed at route card as well. It is not necessary to post these journals manuaaly they can be made to post the data automatically as well.
It will be very nice of you if you could be very specific with you query regarding these topics. It will be easy to answer in brief. :)

I am selecting "post picking list now" in the start job screen. It seems like the system is trying to use an old picking list journal to post and it errors out saying that the picking list is already posted and in turn cancels the update. If however, I unselect "post picking list now" than the system will generate a new picking list.
Curious to know why it is trying to use an old journal when I have this selected....

Please ignore. Ended up being a code modification that was put in that was causing it to try and post to a previous journal.
