CRM2015 - Lookup quick find special character not searchable

Hello,

I have a lookup field. Normally when typing word or number, it will do quick find. However, I find when I type 9(1) to do the search, it returns nothing, but I know I have record with 9(1). If I update the searchable field to 9(01), it just works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi, it looks strange.

Try to use * while doing search. E.g. *9(1) or *9(01) which should resolve your problem.

    Thanks,

    Anand

By using *9(1) doesn't solve the problem. still same thing.

Hi, is record with 9(1) Active? It will return nothing if it is inactive record.

Try and disable the Recently Viewed Item Cache, and also clear the browser cache and see if that fixes your issue.

Are you sure your record "Name" field value started with with 9(1)? Me too tried same and its working for me . I think you may looking into different field value instead of name .

Addition to above suggestions. I would suggest you look into the lookup view of this lookup entity.

Take a look on the filter criteria.

Actually, it's a different field other than name field. but we make that field searchable. that's why it works with other number and character combination. Here is the screenshot of lookup entity record:

You can it search 'Code' field. but we make both name, code fields searchable in quick find view. so it works most case by searching code.

Okay,  in that case you need to add columns in the quick find views to make other fields searchable in the lookup.

    Hello Goutam,

We've done the setting you mentioned. please check my comments 'but we make both name, code fields searchable in quick find view. so it works most case by searching code'.
